SMS/Text Message Policy

How we communicate with you via text messages

This SMS/Text Message Policy ("SMS Policy") describes how Lending Club Finance LLC ("we," "us," "our") sends text messages to you and your rights regarding those messages. This policy is part of our overall Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Consent and Opt-In

By checking the SMS consent checkbox on any of our forms (loan application, pre-qualification offer, or contact form), you expressly consent to receive text messages from Lending Club Finance LLC at the mobile phone number you provided. Your consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from us.

Important: You are not required to consent to SMS messages as a condition of applying for or receiving a loan. You may still apply for a loan without opting in to text messages.

The number of text messages you receive will vary depending on your account activity and the stage of your loan process:

In total, you should expect to receive no more than approximately 10 messages per month during active loan processing, and no more than 4 messages per month for an active loan account.

3. Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply to text messages you receive from us. These charges are determined by your mobile service provider and your wireless plan. Lending Club Finance LLC is not responsible for any charges incurred from your carrier for receiving our text messages.

4. How to Opt Out

You may opt out of receiving text messages from us at any time using any of the following methods:

Text the word STOP to any message you receive from us. You will receive a one-time confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed.

After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message. Please allow up to 48 hours for your opt-out request to be fully processed. Opting out of SMS messages does not affect your loan account or any other communications (email, phone calls) from us.

Note: Even after opting out of promotional messages, you may still receive transactional messages that are essential to your loan account, such as OTP verification codes during agreement signing. These are required for security purposes and cannot be opted out of.

Our SMS service is compatible with most major U.S. wireless carriers, including but not limited to:

AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, and other regional carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
